Before formally planning to invest in a fully automatic car wash shop, we recommend that you conduct on-site inspections of at least 5 different types of car wash shops in the local area, whether manual car washes or fully automatic car wash shops and understand other shop’s charging standards, number of employees, shop owner feedback and capabilities of additional services (such as car interior cleaning free or not), understand the cost of commercial water and electricity usage, collect this basic information and prepare the charging standards for your car wash shop.
After collecting that basic information, you can officially launch the car wash shop investment plan. The 6 STEPS are as follows:
1. Choose a suitable car wash location. Pay attention to the following points in site selection:
(1) Near a gas station, or even inside a gas station
(2) Generally speaking, a site of 500-800 square meters is more suitable.
(3) It is best to choose a location in the middle of two or more main roads or on a connecting road so that it is very convenient to come and go and can retain vehicles.
(4) The selected site must have space for parking four to six or more vehicles to do vacuum service.
(5) It is best to choose a site near residential areas, larger government agencies, or enterprises.
(6) Locations near car dealer shops, big supermarkets, and big parking lots.
(7) It is best to allow signs or billboards to be set up fifty meters away
(8) The selected site has convenient water and electricity connections, and the sewerage pipeline for the sewage generated by the car wash is relatively smooth.
(9) Traffic arteries, cross streets (“corner effect”)
(10) Prioritize the location at the entrance to the main entrances of the city
2. Choose a suitable car wash equipment.
In the auto car washing machine industry, there are express tunnel car wash machines that can clean 50-60 cars per hour; there are rollover car wash and single arm touchless car washing machines that can wash 10-15 cars per hour. The choice is based on the size of the site, the budget, and the traffic flow around the site.
How to estimate the traffic flow to your car wash based on the traffic flow on the roadside around the site: With the car wash as the center, observe and count the number of vehicles within a radius of 7 square kilometers and the daily traffic flow on nearby roads, estimated from the basic customer sources. For example, if we observe that there are 4000 cars within a radius of 7 square kilometers, the daily car washing ratio is 10%, and 25% of them are washed in our shop, then the daily fixed customers are 100; in addition, If there are 2000 crossings per day, locking in 10% is about 200 vehicles, assuming that 20% of them come to our shop for cleaning, and there are 40 mobile customers. It can be calculated that the number of customers visiting the shop every day is 140 cars.

4. Make a purchasing plan and arrange the payment
5. Contact the local construction company to make the car wash foundation according to the manufacturer’s foundation drawing
6. Confirm whether your company has import rights. If not, you need to contact a customs broker to help you import the car wash machine, clear customs at the port, and deliver it to your car wash location.
